As an insurance agent who,has help clients through tragic times, I've mentioned to many things can be replaced and its best to do as you did and stay safe. The worst one a neighbor and client who had a fire start in his garage that did a lot of damage to their home and destroyed two of their vehicles. The most amazing thing was seeing the taillights on one ar melted yet a plastic 5 gallon gas container 4' away was fine.
