Dozens of other people have already said the same thing over and over again (you and DW and pets safe, insurance replaces truck & trailer, you did the right thing, blah, blah, blah), so I'm going to take a light-hearted, tongue-in-cheek stab at answering your original question.
How about a set of explosive bolts connecting the fifth wheel hitch to the mounting rails in the truck bed? You could arm them, blow them and drop the trailer on its nose as you pulled away in the flaming pickup truck. :D
