Something I didn't see mentioned here: if the trailer was burning and you want to disconnect. For those who have a manual slide on their brake controller, use it instead of worrying about holding the truck break or the trailer safety cable.
But yeah, get everyone out. Have a "Go Bag" in the vehicle right next to the fire bottle. Grab both on the way out.
