Thanks to all the comments made in response to my post on LT vs ST tires. Yes my tires are Mich 235/85/16E's not 285's. My typo error. I have taken all comments to heart and truly respect what all have written. The tires are 2016 products and I WILL replace them for 2018. At present I seem confident the replacements will be the new GY Endurance ST's. The verdict on their reliability/performance should be in and any bugs worked out. I tend to be conservative on weight; always travel with VERY little fluids in all tanks on board and keep "extras" to a minimum. Just pulled the wheels checked all bearings/breaks. I inflate the Mich's to 78 lbs cold and NEVER go over 65 even downhill with a tailwind --- enjoy the journey and always allow extra time. I traveled 7K miles in 2016 and will total about the same in 2017. The Mich's have performed very smoothly and show VERY little wear. I just came down from Maine yesterday and passed at least seven 5er's pulled to the side with flats (some with multiple flats) on ME 95, Mass 495 and 90 and CT/NY 84 on my way home. So there is serious need for all to check their tires. Again THANK YOU to all and happy trails. WB
You still have not provide the model of the tire LTX or XPS Rig. At any rate they should be good for 6 or 7 years of use on a trailer. I ran Ribs for 6.5 years as one was 8.5 years old from manufacture date and the other three 7.5 years. The one that was 8.5 years old was getting small cracks in the sidewalls. They had around 44K miles on them and I sold them on CL for 200 bucks with around 60 percent tread remaining.
