Sewer Handles

Over time the handles for dumping the tanks have become harder to pull. For sure do not want to break those off !! What does everyone use to lube the handles with ? Thanks !! :h

  • I don't think the handles/rods are as much the problem as the valves themselves. There are products like above that may help lube the valves. I always try to keep the valves wet, especially the black tank valve. After dumping, I always add about 3 gals back in, to slosh when traveling, and keep the valve seal wet.

At some point, if sticking, just pulling too hard, replacing the valve, may be the best option.

  • Hi... I have had same problem . .... when I dump my tanks I pull out on the handle .. Then spray some silicone on the cable.... This helps.. on my rig the cables run up to the valves that are located on the tank. Because the bottom of the rig is enclosed ...no easy way to lub. This part of the cable. Jim2007
  • Sometimes Walmart carries this. But mostly I order from Amazon or camping world. A little in a tank keeps the valves lubricated and easier to open.
