Friend has a 2010 Komfort. After he uses the shower a sewer stench is smelled in the bathroom and area around washing machine for about 30 minutes. He poured bleach down the P trap at the washing machine and in the sink in the bathroom. Also some down the shower drain. Smell dissipates within 30 minutes every time. Anyone ever had this problem?

Yes I did and this solved it for good. Sometimes stuff gets stuck down there. Reach your arm down the hole as far as you can. When down to the max feel around for anything chunky. Grab it and squeeze it between your fingers until it gets smaller then dump some water in it (After you pull your arm out of coarse}. Do this once a month for regular maintenance. Wash your hands before cooking. I do have a self help video available. Hope this helpsood.

This smell is coming on after a SHOWER. Not sure what "hole" you're referring to. Thanks for replying though.

Is the toilet in the same room? Is the fan trying to draw air up toilet? Add more water in the toiletAre the dump valves open and could the fan be drawing air from the sewer? Close the dump valves.Just a few lessons learned

A limb pushed my cap down onto the vent so it could not vent. The fix new vent cap.

Plugged how? I've often wondered when people suggest a plugged vent. I mean broken or something I see, but what's to plug it up clear up there?

That egg rot small is from the water heater. Sanitize the hot system if that's where the odor is coming from. I would check the roof vent for obstruction first before anything.

If you're using the water from the on-board tanks and you don't use any water treatment when you fill them, the smell could be coming from the water itself. Water that sits in the fresh water tanks will pick up a nasty smell from the tanks if they're not drained between camping trips and/or treated when filled.
