Short high line fifth wheel?
Does anybody anymore make a relatively short (30-32')high line fifth wheel? Excel,Hitchhiker,Travel Supreme etc are all gone. The only thing Ive been able to find is a 32' Mobile Suite that's 34'

- They also installed a Progressive EMS unit, converted us to 50 amp & several other changes. We were trying to stay short, but in a quality unit. They may have units not on their website if they haven't worked on them yet. Best of luck on your decision!

Crazy: That's great idea re the HH. I looked at their site,but didn't see anything re refurbishing. - The Arctic Fox 275 is the only new one under 30' that I can think of. We bought a used Hitchhiker Discover America from Kansas RV Center and are very happy. They made several changes for us: fireplace, changing out the old TV, king bed, washer dryer etc.Our runner up was the Arctic Fox 295T. The archive floorplans are available for Nuwa so you can see the specs. In their shorter units, I would look at their 295 floorplan.

I think he means high end. I'm struggling with this issue myself. I don't really want to go over 30 feet, but I need separate sleeping for three. If they give you table and chairs, then you lose the dinette sleeping, which served the 3 of us well in the motor home. I can't stand the cheap units, that when you walk you can feel the floor give slightly under your foot, and I'm 185 pounds. I can afford what I want, but I don't want too much length, cause the reason I want a fiver to begin with is it saves you some hitch space of a trailer. I got the truck and the hitch ready, but finding the right rig is a real chore.- Do we get to know what high line means?

Grand Design makes some models in the size you are looking for.
Grand Designs Reflections are the only shorter ones they make. They're hardly high end. More low to mid range IMO. the Solitude would be closer to what the OP is looking for, but the shortest one is 35'.- If you already have a Mobile Suites, real nice trailers, why do you want to downsize? You already have a 3500 truck. If the the model you have is the 36TK3, double bonus. One really nice unit IMO.
Hang on to what you have. Yeah, you are a little on the big size for some SPs & NPs but is the financial loss downsizing for something newer & smaller worth it? Jbird wrote:

Grand Design makes some models in the size you are looking for.- I know of 3 (high end) 5th wheels that will build what you want New Horizon Spacecraft mfg and Continental by Forks RV.
