Size Matters

We're having an amazing trip in Utah. We've seen some incredible things and had fantastic experiences. We had a dicey afternoon on Sunday. I always watch my height going under bridges, but we had two close calls.

The first was getting fuel in Panguich. The canopy was a close call and I had to back out after we pumped.

Next as we got close to Bryce I saw a 13'6" sign. I wasn't positive about my height, so I pulled over and measured. We are 13'2". Plenty of room to spare. :B

The fuel pic, the lights look lower than the eves.

Don't forget air conditioners and vent covers on top.

We passed under an overpass going into Phillipsburg, MT that indicated 12'-6", and we are 12'-9" high including sacrificial antennas. Fortunately the road sloped enough from left to right that we could safely pass below the overpass by moving to the left in the lanes.

I also woke up in the middle of night thinking about driving under the overpass going in the Missoula, MT the next morning, and was relieved that the indicated height was actually 13'-0" (as I remember). There are videos of many vehicles failing that IQ test.
