Hubby and I just bought a new Attitude toy hauler. Everything we read said that the front bed was a queen size. The floorplan said it was a queen. So...we got it home and I went to Camping World because I thought it looked like maybe a Short Queen like we have had before. Nope..it is some weird size mattress 54x80. On the tag from the manufacturer it has been marked on in ink and the size written in. Has anyone ever heard of this size before? I contacted the dealer and they said it was from the manufacturer. They were not responsible for what the "industry standard" was for Queen Size (???) So I contacted the Manufacturer Eclipse in California. They said it sounded like the dealer had swapped mattresses. So once again I asked the dealer if it was possible that someone had swapped mattresses. End of discussion said the dealer. We will give you $100. towards a new mattress. NO bedding of any kind fits this weird mattress. I don't think a Queen size would fit in that space, either. Is it misrepresentation on the part of the manufacturer to advertise the bed as being Queen size? I didn't think to check the mattress tag before we bought it.

Interesting and not a good situation....well, one thing for sure, you aren't going to get much of a mattress (decent or otherwise) for $100.

Is the bed foundation the correct size for a full Queen mattress or is it smaller due to how it's packaged into the trailer?

It sounds like you have what is called an RV queen sized bed. I have the same size in my class C. You will have to get a custom mattress if you want to upgrade. I just went and got some 4 inch memory foam and put it on top of the existing mattress. It is much more comfortable now. However, I do wish ours was wider as neither of us can really spread out while sleeping.

54x80 in the mattress business is sometimes called a long full . Standard full size is 54x76 . Most motel fulls are 54x80 . Standard queen is 60 x 80 , king should be 78x80 or sometimes 80 squared . There is no federal " standard " , manufacturers can call'em what they think sells best .

Our hauler is a true queen size, we replaced the stocker with a 14" tall bamboo pillow top, awesome mattress.

54 x 80 is a "full extra long" and you can buy sheets for it most anywhere.

Our rig has a regular queen 60x80. Yours is not a queen. I've seen so-called "RV queen" at 60x76, but not what you got.
