I agree no blocking slides is the best arrangement.
I have 5 slides. I do not have full access with slides in however I can get to the bathroom and bedroom.
I cannot get to fridge without opening 1 slide. My slide do operate independently of each other.
Having to move all slides to access fridge would be a deal breaker.
Independent slide control is an important feature for me.
With 5 slides full access with slides in is virtually impossible, but decent access to essential areas is something I can live with.
I seldom need to use RV in turtle (all slides in)mode!
