MY FW has controls that allow any of the 3 slides to remain closed. They are switches that close off the lines going to that particular slide. Yours may not have come that way, but since it exists on mine I can only assume you could install such a control. Probably just a rudimentary lever to close off that set of Hydro lines. One lever for each slide.
