- CaLBaRExplorerRecently put one on my new trailer. Loved the one on the last one and love this one. I wish I could put on on the second slide but the awing would interfere. For all the reasons mentioned above I will always have them.
- srosaExplorerI would love to have slide toppers but I spend half my time in Palm Springs where it can be too windy to have them on large, deep slide rooms. If you’re not in the desert, it’s probably not a concern.
- JTracExplorerI just recently did the Solera's, now owned by Lippert, which did cause some hesitation, but they have been fine so far. They serve the purpose as intended and were the less expensive choice probably because they are not wrapped in a metal casing when retracted. That part did not bother me as we keep ours in a garage so the only weather they get is when we are on the road.
- WNYBobExplorerI think I've got mine to tight, as they seem to put stress on the slide out mechanism. Otherwise they are great.
- ravExplorerwe added them this year for all the reasons stated above. well worth it.

Some, not all.
New ones have them built in. - snowpekeExplorerNew ones have them built in.
- kknowltonExplorer IIWe have had them added to both our campers that have/had slideouts. I think they really help with leaking issues. Hadn't thought about heat, but it makes some sense they help with that too.
- fj12ryderExplorer IIIWouldn't be without them. Helps keep the inside cool in the sun, and keeps the leaves, pine needles, and acorns off when under the trees. And when you pull the slides in while it's raining, you don't get the inside of your trailer all wet. Win, win, win.
- HalmfamilyExplorerYes, no cons for us. Nice to have clean slide tops and the slides stay cooler as well.
