Slide out hesitation

I have a 2005 Hitchhiker LS with three slides. When we either put out or bring in the living room slides, the slides will move for a few seconds then quit. We re-push the button and sometimes it starts moving again right away and sometimes not. We have not had this problem with the bedroom slide, just the main living area slides. It almost acts like a over heat protection on the hydraulic pump, however if that was the case why would the bedroom slide work ok? I am wondering if the switches were going bad, however what are the chances two switches would go bad at the same time? Any ideas or has anyone else run into this problem?
Thanks

  • Auto reset circuit breaker. A common problem. When they go bad they overheat, opens up the electrical contact, pump stops, breaker cools, contact closes, and power is restored. Until it heats up again. Gradually gets worse and worse. Living room slides are typically larger and heavier than the bedroom slide.
Cheap and easy to replace. Look near your pump for something like the link above. Probably 50 amp, but could be less. Available at RV dealers parts departments, Camping World, many auto parts stores, or many places online.
