It could be the power terminal of the switch or you lost power to the switch. Not knowing whether power is there or not is just a guessing game. This is why I always advise self-help fixers to learn how to use a multimeter to determine where power has been lost.
Could be as simple as a power wire coming loose from the switch terminal (something that you can see with your eyes). Other than that we can only guess and that's when you start spending $ for unneeded parts.
