X2 on the above. We have three slides, two of which are fairly long. Water pools on the long toppers, and we just need to remember to run each slide in half way a couple of times. Not been a problem. Snow and/or ice may be another story, though. From our experience, we'd rather have this small problem and avoid leaves and stuff gathering on the top of the slide. Too high up to clean off easily, and I'd rather not haul a ladder. IMHO...
