Do not use any petroleum based product on the rubber seals. - Alley_FoxExplorerMost rubber conditioner is made mainly from glycerin so that's what I use. I've found that I don't want to use too much or the seal won't get any "traction" and won't flip out when the slide is going out. Glycerin has been used by classic car enthusiasts for years, so it has a good track record.
