slider fifth wheel hitch
Have short bed truck wand slider fifth wheel mount.rockwood dealer said don't need it for rockwood. My question is can I use one anyway? He say's no,but if I tow any other trailer I need to slide.

Several brands of RVs have been designed to lower (not eliminate) the risk of the trailer hitting the truck, when the truck is a 6 ft bed. Certainly not just Rockwood.
In fact Rockwood may not even be the "best" for not hitting the cab.
That all being said, no rigs design is so good it lowers the chances of hitting the cab as low as either an 8 ft bed or a sliding hitch.
