I have a Reese sliding hitch. Reese says the slider moves the hitch back 10 inches when in the manuver position. The Anderson I believe says it moves the hitch point back 9 inches. My Reese says not to tow in the manuvering position. Why is this if the Anderson allows it why not the Reese? Thanks.

Sounds like I will need to use some Algebra to understand how this works. And Algebra was about 40 years ago. Hummmm might take me awhile. Thanks for the response.

Grab a tape measure, with your slider in the forward position, check the measurement of the wheel well above the tire. Then slide it back and do the same. I bet slid back you will see the results of the weight being shifted back. The Anderson keeps the weight in the same spot since it doesn't slide.
