Harsh ride from 19" wheels and tires (if there is any) - can be easily overcome by air ride seats - which are a pleasure in *any* truck with *any* size tires and wheels..:S

The "double negative" (posters) need to take a ride in an HDT with 22" or 24" wheels - and *serious* truck tires!
WAY softer than any pickup - even when towing an 80K lb trailer.

Logged about 1000 miles on the Ricksons and all I can say is wow. Most of the mileage is towing and the stability is unbelievable. The first few hundred miles kind of sucked because I was riding on the previous owners tread "cut". They have now worn into the pattern my truck is laying down and ride really smooth (even unloaded). The ride is not significantly worse just a bit stiffer. I would compare it to a sport tune on a family sedan. Unloaded there is no plushness and loaded there is definitely a difference. I drove a gravel road for about 2 miles and the stiffness is very real there; I found that speed was my friend at that time.

Just sold the old 17" wheels and tires for $400. Found 2 local powder coating shops that can strip the red and lay down a new color of my choice for $250-$300 total.

Good deal. I ended up with Vision Heavy Hauler and 245's. Had to do a little trimming on the front valence and liner, but no big deal. 19.5's are the way to go IMO.

That's a helluva deal for sand blasting and powder coating. The amount of time per rim tells me Schwab is losing money on that.
