Solid counters
Looking at a Jayco that has an option for solid kitchen counter tops. My question is, is it worth the $1,000+ cost and the small weight penalty? I can think of other options I'd rather have for that...

We've had two trailers with solid surface counter tops. The 1st was a darker color. It showed scratches really easy. Depending on how the light reflects on it you could see the scratches easy. We always had to be careful not to put sharp objects, or anything that could scratch it on the counter.
Our 2nd trailer has a lighter cream colored solid surface top. It doesn't show any scratches at all. I can purposely look for some but generally they don't show.
I'm not sure of the brands of either.
Both were standard items. If I had a choice I would save my money.
