Looking at a Jayco that has an option for solid kitchen counter tops. My question is, is it worth the $1,000+ cost and the small weight penalty? I can think of other options I'd rather have for that...
Paying that much for it is really out there. We've had both, and there's only appearance to be gained by solid surface. Both scratch and you still can't put anything hot on them, and unless you get a stainless steel sink, the solid surface ones are prone to staining.
