- VeebyesExplorer IIWhat typically powers those Isuzu trucks? The 2006 Chevy I have has something in common with it. Yeah, I know it says Duramax diesel on the side of the truck but it is actually an Isuzu 6.6L V8 diesel. Excellent motor I might add.
Always wondered why the US does not use trucks such as the Hino & Isuzu for 5er hauling? Maybe it is because the country is so big pickup crazy to begin with. Maybe it is crash safety requirements? I don't know.
You sure do get a nice view from up in those cab over trucks. Takes a very agile person to get in & out of them too. Maybe that is part of it? Not practical for the 60 plus crowd. - d-mac1Explorer

Actually should have vastly more pulling power than a 3500, a Japanese Truck would replace a Dually in Australia.. Ride would depend on Airbag suspension.
Depending on engine and model, you get this - VeebyesExplorer III do like that Isuzu cabover truck setup. Trouble is, those cabover trucks are not known for a great ride. Don't suppose they have the pull power of a typical US 3500 truck either.

- GordonThreeExplorerI always see the weird ones while I'm either driving or don't have a camera.
Just yesterday I saw what looked to be a pop-up 5th wheel being towed by a little truck. the camper had the section that extended over the bed of the truck like a 5r, but the profile of the camper was lower than that of the truck. I can't seem to find one on Google - what would it even been called? - Golden_HVACExplorerLance used to make a small fifth wheel for towing behind lightweight 1/2 ton trucks. I think it was in the 3,500 pound GVWR range.
