Just a little cube heater from Walmart. It has a very quiet fan.
A lot of people like the oil-filled radiator type. Check the current load to make sure you won't blow fuses.
Just make sure anything you get has a tip-over cut-off switch, and teach your boys NOT to lay things on it, and where it needs to go.
