I use an oil filled unit when parked at home.I use a cube typefan heater when camping. I think most 15 amp heaters putoutabout the sameamount of BTU's. The oil filled has no moving parts and a built in timer. Fan unit circulates and makes back ground noise. Apples &oranges comparison really
