Space required to back in compared to MH
We currently have a 43ft motor home. Thinking of trading to a similar sized fifth wheel.
Our rv lot is located in a very nice but older park so the roads are tight. 45ft motor homes are common and even our slightly smaller rig fit fine if a little on the tight side when backing in but no issues.
When backing a fifth wheel do you need much more space when compared to motor homes of the same size?
I realize the truck extends further out on fifth wheels but I also realize the motor home is a rectangle that doesn't bend where a fifth wheel does. Which should cut down on the space needed to back in.
So if a 45 ft prevost can back in can a good fifth wheel backer back in a similar sized fifth (foot or two shorter) in the same space?
Thank you
