Spare tire

I check the spare before we head south and again before we head north. I also take it down and unbolt it once a year as if I had to change it. Found out the hard way the bolts holding it to the holder were rusted tight. Two bolts took an hour of sweat beside I75 north of Atlanta,Ga. to get the tire off.. Never again. Checks all done in the driveway. I would suggest strongly that if you have never changed a tire to do a test change at least once.
We had called roadside assistance and in the two hours beside the road they hadn't got there yet and were cancelled.
