That recent Trailer Life article on trailer tires was nothing but a free advertisement for Carlisle. It once again confirms why I don not subscribe to that mag. BTW I read the article at a friends house.
It just continues to spam the RV'ing world with the same old disproved garbage about ST tires have stronger sidewalls than LT tires.
When someone takes the opportunity to compare side by side a ST tire and a LT tires the differences in sidewall strength is so obvious that anytime you see the ST marketers sidewall strength comment you will bust a kidney laughing after doing your own comparison.
The only good thing in the article was the focus on the 65mph limitation of the ST tire.
If ST tires lose 30 percent of their strength in 3 years who cares how much UV inhibitor is put in the rubber when the tire is dead strength wise after 3 years.
