St tires vs LT tires

Weight ratings are different between LT and ST tires. Just trying to compare numbers doesnt do LT tires justice.

To truly appreciate the superiority of a quality LT tire to a similar weight rating ST you have to inspect them side-by-side unmounted.

I had a chance to do this last year when replacing the China bombs on my 5er with Bridgestone Duravis. Absolutely night/day difference between the two.
