As a consumer, it pays for us to know as much as possible about any product we are shopping for. A bit of research on our end, and we'll almost always know more about the product than the guy or gal selling it when we walk into the store.
Sorta like buying RV's in general, and having to listen to the salesman tell you that a 12k FW is 1/2 ton towable.
