I don't think putting more weight on the jacks will have that much benefit on reducing movement. Once you have them tight to the ground and bearing some weight they are doing their job. Putting much more weight on them could just lead to damaging something.
I do the 1/2 turn or so once they are tight. Like everything else Old-Biscuit posts, I learn something. That is a great way of getting a little extra on them.
