Stabilizers stuck

DW and I have pulled our rig out of storage this weekend to de-winterize and prep for our fulltime adventure (114 days and a wake up). We pulled into the campground and began the usual setup and realized the rear stabilizers won't come down. There isn't even the usual motor sound. I got out the manual handle and broke off one of the pins because it won't budge. The in-line fuse by the battery is good, as are all the fuses in the fuse box. Anyone have any ideas that I can try?
  • As others said, you may have a frozen motor. If it was outdoors in storage, something (water, whatever) may have gotten into it. They do come off and you can try disassembling it if it is frozen. If you can figure out the mfr, you could probably get a replacement - a whole new assembly can be expensive (I looked them up a while back).

And if you need something for a short term fix, try either plain old tall jackstands, or those aluminum trailer jacks (cheaper). (Just an old USAF MSgt tip.)
