Sticks & Bricks: sold! Close to taking the 5er plunge...

After relocating to Austin and living in our (small for FTing) TT for the past few months we've decided to give FTing thing a go (for a couple of years at least).

The 5er we are currently looking at is the Heartland Gateway 3650 BH.
The TV we are planning on pulling with a 13+ F350 DRW.

Any feedback on this setup?
Anything to know/consider/look out for with this brand? Any other similar (40-ish ft bunkhouse) rigs to consider in this price range?

    Sorry to be off topic, but where do you stay in Austin? I think it might be nice to stay there for awhile.

    Looks like you should be good with the F350 dually. Will be quite a change from what you are presently pulling.

    Your truck is fine for anyHeartland product. Not familiar with the Gateway but you could get plenty of owner feedback on the Heartland Owners web forum.

    The Gateway is a nice rig, however if you move to a Big Country, Big Horn or Landmark you will have a Heartland trailer that is warrantied for full-time use if that matters to you...Your F-350 dually will easily handle anything that Heartland makes.

    It definitely matters...

    But when we ee looked at the higher Heartland lines and none of them offer a bunkhouse (unless I missed one) until you get to the gateway line....
