I find that by loading up the front storage area (not the "basement"), tends to add pin weight..so I went the other direction for extra storage.


Works for me...got a place for my hoses, flush king, Nitrile Gloves, rinse hose, both tarps + the rigging for them. The uprights hold my firewood (it gets strapped down)..
I cut off the useless "bumper" that was OEM, welded on a pair of plates (3/8") with 4 holes using a Mig. The main Al beam is 2 X 4 X .250" 6061 grade and the cross members are 2 X 2 X .188" wall. End cap is 2 X 1 X 1.88" wall. Welded with E5356 .035 wire in spray mode. I have a cpf of friends at a fab shop in Calgary and they let me in to do the fabrication. Sweet.!! Mounted with Grade 8 bolting - strong enough to stand on or possibly mount my gen set later on...not quite sure yet what the
best mix of load will be. Just built it last month.
