I have to join the club. My stupidity is even greater: I decided one night up in Wyoming, to clear out the bathroom lavatory drain which was running slow. My plan? To run some very hot water to fill the bowl and then let it out with one big "swoosh."
Just at that moment the cell phone rang and I got very involved with an "important" conversation. Maybe a half hour later I when outside to do something and saw water flooding out of the trailer bottom. I thought "the water pressure must have broken a line," ran back into the house to check--still not remembering the task that started all this until I saw the water still running in the lavatory with the stopper in place just as I had left it.
Further detail would only be more humiliating. Anyway the next day we moved on down into Colorado where we had a splended, dry, hot, sunny day. You can imagine all the towels, carpet runners, etc spread out all over the campsite.
Why do we intellegent, experienced, resourceful trail bosses do such things??:S
