My stupid.... Brand new fifth wheel first trip. About 2 hours into the trip, we got stopped on the freeway with a wildfire for a couple hours. So we go into the trailer to use the bathroom and such. I put about 40 gallons water in, only about 1/4 full but I wanted some as we were dry camping the first 2 days then hooked to water.
I turn the pump on and go outside. I hear the pump running, think it's weird. Go inside and the sink, which has covers, is flowing water onto the counter. Grab towels, note a big deal. But realize that the faucet opens in transit. We do other things, hang out outside and such. I go in last time to close everything up, but I want to ensure the pump isn't still running. I go out to listen from the basement where I heard it the first time. Hear nothing. Wife starts saying the cars are moving. I'm like ok, gotta hurry. Go in one last time to look, everything is fine, but forget to turn pump off. I also break the key in the lock as it wouldn't lock right.
Get to gas station and pump pickup full and use the bathroom. Come out and luckily do one last check. There water flowing out the back, like a lot. But key is broke so I can't get inside, open the back ramp and it's flying out the faucet. Wife climbs in and I fall on the back ramp cause my side was wet.
Need time I went camping, my brother suggested I check the faucets before I turn the water on. Thankfully I did as the faucet was wide open and would have sprayed everywhere.
