The Ram comes with a 3:42, 3:73 and 4:10 gear ratio's...no more than the GVW is on the 5er, any of them would more than work easily....As stated by fla gypsy, the 3:73 may be the best of both worlds...
To back up, "IF" you're going to purchase a 2500 or 3500 SRW, you only get 3:42's...if a dually, then you have the choice of the three, if purchasing the Cummins....Ram doesn't make a "Quad cab", they have crew cab, regular cab and mega cab...Also have the choice of a manual, the 68RFE auto 6 speed tranny or the Aisin 6 speed automatic.
