Sunburned fiberglass

I am an original owner of a 2012 Jayco 26.5 HT RLS and had a couple of problems with the cap the first two years, having to replace two of them, one an manufacturer fault and one mine. The third one went on in the fall of 2013. This past summer I noticed a bunch of fading on the top 2/3 of the cap, gray, and sent a couple of notes to Jayco about trying to fix it. First note said no due to it being out of warranty, even though it was a known problem. Second note I asked them to share in the cost of waiting and didn't even get a response on that one. Will be takin go to a shop to get it repainted in a couple of weeks and the cost is a little over $1,400. Hope it works. I did try the Poli Glow and it was a total failure, worse after I put the stuff on than before if you can imagine that. Probably operator error but it probably wouldn't have done much good any, based on the comments on this thread.
