- ksg5000ExplorerBefore you throw in the towel I suggest you use the forum search feature and look for post concerning Zep. Fading is chronic problem in the boat industry and many use acrylic products to restore - Zep is an inexpensive acrylic floor polish that many RVers have used to made their faded rigs look new again. I don't have a brown cap like yours but I did have lots of Brown decals and Zep restored them. Worth a look - Zep is dirt cheap and if it doesn't work then you haven't lot much. Hope this helps.
- snowpekeExplorerThanks guys I will just live with it.
- 1971duster340ExplorerI'd call Jayco. They have done some amazing grace overages. If it's a 12/2014 build, you're not far beyond the warranty and it's obvious it didn't start yesterday.

X2..Check with your manufacturer. If you are the original owner, many of them are helping out with the repairs. It's from the outer layer of gelcoat fading. Very common from all manufacturers of grey and darker colors around the time yours' was built. You can rub til the cows come home and it will keep coming back. Painting it will cost around $1500 plus decals. Been there done that.
It's called oxidation. Won't matter what you do it will always come back. It's common on most all dark brown caps regardless of brand. Painting is the only way to fix it.
B.O. - colliehaulerExplorer IIIThe only thing you can do is have it painted.
