I for one am happy SG owner. Mine is a 2007 model I use slip plate on it once when I am inspecting the hitch before the season and an occasional touch up. I have the under bed mount so my bed is open when the hitch is not in use. The hitch comes apart in multiple pieces for easier loading and unloading, I can do it myself but prefer to have help. The hitch has saved my cab and back window on several occasions where I have gotten into a spot that a manual slider would have been impossible to use without prior planning.
There are some compromises with the SG as with all hitches, I am completely satisfied with my hitch and would buy another one.
