I like the notepad idea, I use one at my office for supplies. Now I will do the same for the Hauler.

We have the trailer pretty stocked. Some of the things not mentioned. Lawn chairs folding tables lantern trash bags. the Ipod adapter wire and chargers. cleaning supplies a small vacuum. Tools to work on the toys plus the stuff that goes with them. Even a spare quad flag for the person that loses or forgets. Rain gear. Bonus, you can also camp at WalMart. That way you don't need to pack anything. And if the the kids are running the ATVs around the parking lot make sure they keep an eye for traffic.

(here's an insider tip: if you have to dump your tanks, it's best to do that at night.)

Whatever you pack,what you need you won't have anyhow.Try to over stock the beer,if that is even possible.Mellows you out about what you forgot.
The joys of camping is never having every thing you need. That's why Walmart has almost as many stores as there are campgrounds.:B

2 things:

1. Beer
2. Extra Beer

Most important for packing is the 3 B's: Bacon, Butter, Beer.

Everything else is optional.

Thanks for all the great replys! Fortunately for us my parents are leaving all of their supplies for us to have and get started. I heard from someone recently that a cordless drill comes in handy when lowering the stabilizing jacks so that is now on the list! My wife is handling all of the interior supplies so it is my task to handle all of the outside stuff, including tools/supplies for potential repairs. In the 6-7 years they owned the trailer we have camped with them a good 20 times so we are pretty familiar but always looking to improve the trips!

We discovered that no matter how prepared we think we were, we always have to stop by a grocery store or other place to get one more thing we need.
DW went to the $ store off-the-bat and bought stuff like trash-cans for bathroom, kitchen and recycle; brooms, dusting stuff, toilet brush, bins to put things in and plastic cups and plates along with other kitchen items like utensils.
I made this list a while back so I will include it FYI:
- 30 to 50 amp adapter for your shore power (cord may or may not be included)
- sewer hose and accordion style support
- chemical toilet treatment (for black water tank)
- water hose with optional water filter
- another hose that is a different color for use with black tank so there is no cross-contamination
- blocks of wood for support under leveling jacks (some campsites are not very level)
- wheel chocks
- basic tools
- coax cable for cable hook-up
- basics like toilet paper, paper towels, sheets for the bed, towels, plates, flatware
