They work very well. I pulled one behind my 5th wheel for several years in states that say they don't allow double towing and was never stopped. But that doesn't mean you won't be. Personally I think you're less likely to be pulled over with a swivelwheel type trailer than a conventional trailer behind your 5th wheel. I pulled a Smart Trailer and was very happy with the construction and performance.
They have a lot of tongue weight so make sure your frame will handle the stress, and the shop you have fabricate the hitch knows what they are doing. The length of the swivelwheel trailer will be added to the swing of the rear end so it must be taken into account when maneuvering.
