tailgate hits camper
I have a long bed truck with 16k reese slider hitch. When hocking up the tailgate will hit trailer. Will a non slider fix my problem.

Since you have a Slider, how about locking it in the rearward position, hookup, raise the tail gate, then lock the hitch into the travel position.
