Taste of retirement
I have failed at retiring twice, but if you want cool stuff, ya gotta figure a way to pay for it. So we took a trip, meeting 2 other couples in Utah. Our basic info was 8 days, 2666 miles on the truck and toy-hauler, 550 miles on the Harley. Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Deadhorse Point State Park, Goosenecks State Park, Moki Dugway, Natural Bridges National Monument, and Bryce Canyon National Park.
We tried to plan enough to have a base for at least a couple of days, and it worked pretty well. One of the couples was also from Washington, as we are, and the last couple is from Southern California. Our first days based out of Green River, UT, then a couple of days in Bluff, UT, and the last days camping were in Escalante, UT. Hardest to plan was downtime, so much to see, so much to do, and every town seemed to have something unique in it history, notwithstanding the glory and grandeur of our National Parks and Monuments.
We will go back, more to see!!!
