I am forever picking up my Teflon disc off the ground after unhitching. I tried super gluing it onto the 5er, but that didn’t work. The fingers holding it onto the pin have spread somewhat, so no longer hold the disc in place like they did when it was new. How do others keep their disc attached to their 5er? Thank you.Lakeside

I just use a teflon spray no need for the disc.How about a wire tie or something thicker around the kingpin , would it keep the disc from dropping.

I have to say mine has never fallen off the camper. Mine is worn well and of course broken off in the front from too many hookups when i was not even and still is holding well. I dont recall the brand of mine, but got it at camping world

Put it on a steel surface and hit the center teeth with a hammer, that will spread them out and it will hold like when new.Or, wrap a thin strip of duct tape around the pin.

Get anew one. They are cheap. So am I, but I still spring for a new one every couple of years.....

I would be cautious about putting anything not part of the disc that would potentially impact kingpin interaction with the hitch. JMHO. For approx $10, I would just replace it.

Mine kept falling off. Put some duct tape around the inside of the disk. Seems to be working.

I replace mine twice a year. I always take it off when the 5er is in for service. Fork Lifts/tractors used to move it around service bays always seem to destroy the disc. Beyond that concern, twice yearly renewal seems to work.
