Texas registration for TH
Was anybody OVERWHELMED with the cost of registration for their TH in the state of Texas,like I was? What the Heck????

For many of you in higher rate states the tag fee is an excise tax and therefore deductible on your Fed Income Tax. In TX they're "fees" and not deductible. We've lived in several states over the years and our total state tax liability in all has been about the same. Here in TX they get you on property tax, highway tolls, and many others even though we have no income tax. Bottom line is the govt will get theirs - one way or the other. ;-)
