I called yesterday to confirm-Worlds of Fun is closing 11.24.13 so camping there Thanksgiving is out. Looks like we have narrowed it down to two choices-either Campus RV Park in Independence or Basswood Resort-both are about 25-30 minutes from the in-laws. We stayed at Basswood 5 years ago and they had a really steep driveway that plenty of Rv's had bottomed out on when entering or exiting the place. They said it has been fixed. Campus looks like a drive through town to get to but about $5.00 day less expensive.
Anybody stay at either place with a personal recommendation? Hope it stays warm, too! Or at least above freezing for travel.
