OK - it's a happy day! Finally - truck purchased, hitch installed - and then after all the snow has been cleared and ice removed, the truck and 5er were brought together; and it's a match made in heaven :-)SOOOOO nice when everything works as planned - our 2011 F-350 even acknowledges "trailer attached" when the umbilical cord is connected...LOL! The hitch is a perfect height; there's nice clearance between the trailer and the truck bed sides. Brakes and lights work. Hitch slider works. Life is good :-)I had never really contemplated all the workings of hooking a trailer to a truck - been doing it all my life with "ordinary" trailers. Which is why I know that things don't always work out so nicely ....LOL!

Glad the "newlyweds" are getting along so well- here's hoping the honeymoon lasts forever!:)

I'm proud to announce that Ed finally shared his "toy" truck and let me drive - and the truck pulls that trailer around like it doesn't even exist! All systems work fine on the trailer (we bought it, and then the weather was not really conducive to un-winterizing it - so we relied on the seller's word that everything worked...LOL! Probably not a good idea, but how can you NOT trust a "Grandma"?

Congrats.....looks great! It's it fun when everything goes the way it should! On our 2nd hookup with our 2011 F250 ours told us "trailer disconnected" as we were headed down the driveway......talk about "STOP THE TRUCK"!! Come to find out, the plugin had a issue. Enjoy...:)
