OK - it's a happy day! Finally - truck purchased, hitch installed - and then after all the snow has been cleared and ice removed, the truck and 5er were brought together; and it's a match made in heaven :-)SOOOOO nice when everything works as planned - our 2011 F-350 even acknowledges "trailer attached" when the umbilical cord is connected...LOL! The hitch is a perfect height; there's nice clearance between the trailer and the truck bed sides. Brakes and lights work. Hitch slider works. Life is good :-)I had never really contemplated all the workings of hooking a trailer to a truck - been doing it all my life with "ordinary" trailers. Which is why I know that things don't always work out so nicely ....LOL!

Glad the "newlyweds" are getting along so well- here's hoping the honeymoon lasts forever!:)

Thanks for the kind words, everyone - we're pretty excited about it!

That "white stuff" was piled higher than the bottom of the trailer earlier this week; and the temps were -18 degrees. Fortunately, the trailer was safely (and warmly) parked inside our service bay at work while I packed and did a few minor fixups. Our youngest son (also a 5er-owner) supervised the hookup.

If the weather gives us a break - Florida will be the honeymoon location...LOL!

Congrats.....looks great! It's it fun when everything goes the way it should! On our 2nd hookup with our 2011 F250 ours told us "trailer disconnected" as we were headed down the driveway......talk about "STOP THE TRUCK"!! Come to find out, the plugin had a issue. Enjoy...:)
