The old Carriage was built on a frame that was designed by Carriage and built in house. The double-stacked, 6-inch, box-tube steel construction was crafted to allow slide-outs mounted above the frame for the ultimate strength and structural integrity of the frame. The new Carriage or Cameo by Crossroad is not, the closes thing to the way the OLD Carriage was made is Lifestyle. In fact from what I can see and read about it looks like they have even made some improvements in the frame and they make a great looking RV.
