As said, negotiate an out the door price which includes price or trailer, dealer documentation fees, prep fees, any other fees the dealer may add. So the only other items would be tax and license fees.
My dealer wanted $650 documentation processing fee. Part of that covers the dealer having to handle registration and licensing with the DMV as it's required by AZ DMV, I can't register it myself. They then had a $350 prep fee. I decided $29,000 was a fair price to pay for the trailer and thats what I negotiated OTD. The paper work showed price of trailer at $28,000 with $1000 in fees for a total of $29,000 which is what I offered.
