Thinking about a TH for full-time
As crazy as it seems, the wife and I are tired of the "rat race". We live in a 2800sf house and only use a couple of rooms. Our eldest son is away in the Navy and our youngest will graduate this year....

I moved out of country for 3 years and needed somewhere to store our "stuff". I ended up buying a 40 shipping container and placed it on my dad's property. He was happy to park it alongside his large shop and put a sloping roof between it and his shop to give him more covered storage for his tractors. Win-win and it only cost me $2600 delivered for a 40 foot box. Dad will eventually buy the container back from me, but I like having the option of secure, weather tight and rodent proof storage at a fraction of the cost of a commercial storage place.
That might be an option if you have someone who wouldn't mind having a container or two on their property.
